Car Rental in Cuba

Car rental in Cuba is quite challenging due to the shortage of vehicles and the absence of modern car brands familiar in Europe and Russia. The situation has improved in recent years, but we always recommend making bookings in advance (at least 15 days before the rental start). Please note the additional payments and deposit that must be made directly in Cuba in $. The deposit is refunded at the rental point upon vehicle return. Importantly, if tourists do not pick up the car within 4 hours after the agreed time, transport companies consider it a no-show. This rule does not apply to airport rentals — there the booking is held for 24 hours.

All other applicable rates are paid directly in Cuba in $. They include:

Rate for vehicle return from other provinces. The rental price assumes returning the vehicle to one of the rental points in the same province where it was picked up. If the customer wishes to leave the vehicle at a rental point in another province, they must pay for its return.

Rate for additional driver

$ 30.00 per additional driver, who has a valid driver's license and pays at the time of signing the rental contract. Drivers must be at least 18 years old for foreigners and 21 years for Cuban residents, with at least 1 year of driving experience.
