A building with a neoclassical façade, declared a national monument, harmonizes with the architecture typical of this part of Havana; the hotel’s interior décor reflects colonial traditions: mosaics (from Alicante), Spanish heraldic symbols, wrought iron window grilles (from Seville), intricate ceiling patterns, and more; decorative elements characteristic of the Mudejar style (a mix of Moorish and Gothic traditions) were also used on the roof and inside; the El Louvre snack bar hosts a permanent exhibition of Cuba’s best artists; near the hotel entrance is a romantic terrace café; some rooms have small balconies overlooking Central Park.
