Humpback Whales & Peninsula de Samana by air
Flying over the Dominican Republic is an experience in itself.
From the air, spectacular views of the Atlantic coastline unfold beneath you. The flight lasts approximately 20 minutes — short, intense, and absolutely unforgettable.
Early in the morning, you will be picked up directly from your hotel and transferred to Punta Cana airport. There, you board a plane bound for the Samaná Peninsula.
After landing, you switch to a catamaran and sail toward Cayo Levantado (Bacardí Island). Free time on the island: approximately 1 hour.
During the boat journey, from late January to March, you may witness humpback whales that come to these warm Atlantic waters to reproduce in Bahía de Samaná. Watching these giants leap out of the water and crash back down in massive splashes is simply breathtaking. It is one of those moments you never forget.
Continuing the Journey
Afterward, we sail back toward the Samaná Peninsula and transfer by land to a local ranch, where lunch is served.
Then begins the more adventurous part: a horseback ride through the jungle to the famous Cascada El Limón.
The ride takes about 25 minutes. Free time at the waterfall: approximately 1 hour to relax and swim.
Return to the hotel between 20:00 and 21:00.
This excursion combines a panoramic flight, wild nature, whales, beach, and jungle — all in one day.
It is one of the most complete and exhilarating experiences you can have in the Dominican Republic.
