DAY 1. VENICE & TREVISO — NORTHERN ITALY AND THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY

Arrival in Venice, one of the most unique cities in the world, built on water and for centuries a key center of Mediterranean trade, culture, and politics.

DAY 2. VENICE — THE REPUBLIC OF MERCHANTS AND DOGES

Breakfast.

Transfer by coach and then by boat across the lagoon — your first view of Venice from the water, just as merchants and travelers experienced it for centuries.

Panoramic tour of Venice.

For more than a thousand years, Venice was an independent maritime republic, developing its own system of power, trade, and culture.

Visits include:
• St. Mark’s Square — the political and religious heart of the republic
• St. Mark’s Basilica — a masterpiece blending Byzantine and Western art
• Doge’s Palace — residence of Venetian rulers, where decisions influencing all of Europe were made
• Grand Canal — the city’s main waterway, explored during a boat ride

You will discover how Venice became one of the richest powers of its time and why art, diplomacy, and intrigue flourished here.

Treviso

Continuation to Treviso, a historic town in the Veneto region. Settlements existed here even before the Common Era, and during the Middle Ages it became an important stronghold of the Venetian Republic.

Walk through the historic center, surrounded by 16th-century walls, canals, and old bridges. You will understand why Treviso is called “the quiet shadow of Venice” and how the city evolved through Roman, medieval, and modern times.

Transfer to Rimini, hotel accommodation, dinner included.

DAY 3. SAN MARINO — URBINO — GRADARA

Independence, the Renaissance, and legends of love

Breakfast. Departure for the excursion route.

San Marino

One of the oldest states in the world, founded in 301.
Despite pressure from popes, emperors, and neighboring powers, San Marino preserved its independence for centuries.

Ascent to Mount Titano, walk along the defensive walls and towers, panoramic views, and stories of how this small state survived in the heart of Italy.

Urbino

A Renaissance city and birthplace of Raphael.
In the 15th century, Urbino was one of Europe’s most important intellectual centers.

Walking through its historic streets reveals how humanism, courtly art, and Renaissance philosophy were shaped.

Gradara

A 12th-century medieval fortress associated with the tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca, immortalized by Dante in The Divine Comedy.

Walk along the fortress walls and discover why Gradara became a symbol of romantic and dramatic Italy.

Return to Rimini.
Lunch and dinner according to the program.

DAY 4. RIMINI — FROM ANCIENT ROME TO FELLINI

Breakfast.

Guided tour of Rimini, founded by the Romans in 268 BC.

Visits include:
• Tiberius Bridge — a Roman bridge still in use
• Arch of Augustus — the oldest triumphal arch in Italy
• Piazza Tre Martiri — the former Roman forum

You will learn about Rimini’s role in the Roman Empire and why it became the birthplace of legendary director Federico Fellini.

After lunch — visit to Italian showrooms with an introduction to the world of fashion and design.

DAY 5. FLORENCE — THE CRADLE OF THE RENAISSANCE
Breakfast.
Transfer to Florence, the city where the Renaissance was born.

Panoramic tour:

• Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral with Brunelleschi’s dome
• Giotto’s Bell Tower
• Piazza della Signoria — the political center of medieval Florence

You will discover how the Medici family turned Florence into Europe’s cultural capital.

Uffizi Gallery

One of the world’s most important art collections, featuring Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael.

Lunch included after the visit.

Transfer to Terracina, hotel accommodation, dinner included.

DAY 6. ROME & THE VATICAN — THE CENTER OF THE WORLD
Breakfast.
Transfer to Rome.

Visits include:
• Colosseum and Roman Forum — the heart of Ancient Rome
• Pantheon — the temple of all gods
• Baroque squares and fountains

Vatican

Visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.
You will understand how religion, art, and power shaped the history of Europe.

Lunch and dinner included.

DAY 7. NAPLES & POMPEII — LIFE AND DESTRUCTION

Breakfast.

Excursion to Naples, one of Italy’s most intense and emotional cities.

Visits include:
• Cathedral of San Gennaro — the city’s spiritual center
• Royal Palace
• Castel dell’Ovo by the sea

Next — Pompeii.
A city frozen in time after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Walk through its ancient streets and discover everyday life in Roman times.

Return and dinner included.

DAY 8. END OF THE PROGRAM
Breakfast.
Transfer and end of the tour.
