Viñales Valley
Viñales Valley — is a beautiful valley west of Havana, where, according to experts, the best tobacco in the world grows. There you can learn about the processes of growing and drying tobacco in the fields. It is a karst valley whose cultural landscape has been included by UNESCO in the World Heritage List. The valley is famous for its «mogote» (mogote) — sheer hills with flat tops up to 400 m high, their age is about 160 million years. In the surrounding mountains there are many caves, the most famous of them are the Indian Cave (Cueva del Indio), José Miguel (Cueva de José Miguel), Santo Tomás (Cueva de Santo Tomas), the latter cave is considered one of the largest in Latin America, with 45 km of galleries inside. Next you will visit the Indian Cave and a giant prehistoric-themed mural created on the wall of a mogote. Lunch outdoors (traditional Cuban dishes). Return to Havana.
