Havana and Vinales Valley with overnight stay.
Day 1. Departure from Varadero to the province of Pinar del Río, where the Vinales Valley is located — this is the most beautiful valley west of Havana, where, according to experts, the best tobacco in the world grows. There you can learn about the processes of growing and drying tobacco in the fields. The cultural landscape of the valley is included by UNESCO in the World Heritage list. The valley is famous for its “mogotes” — steep hills with flat tops up to 400 m high, about 160 million years old. The surrounding mountains have many caves, the most famous of which are the Indian Cave (Cueva del Indio), José Miguel (Cueva de José Miguel), and Santo Tomas (Cueva de Santo Tomas). The latter cave is considered one of the largest in Latin America, with 45 km of galleries inside. Next, you will visit the Indian Cave and a giant prehistoric-themed mural created on the wall of a mogote. You will also take a boat ride on an underground lake and explore the whimsical shapes of karst formations. Lunch outdoors (traditional Cuban dishes). Return to Havana. Accommodation in a private mini-hotel (casa particular) in the tourist district of Vedado. In the evening, optional visit to the Tropicana show. Admission is allowed for persons over 16 years old. As an alternative evening program for an additional fee, visits will be offered to the Morro fortress with the cannon firing ceremony, the fashionable cultural and entertainment center Fabrica del Arte, and Havana’s nightclubs.
Day 2. Breakfast at the mini-hotel. Departure for the excursion Hello Havana. Return to Varadero.
